Hey Mari~
Just to give you the patina info.- I learned it from a book. You take white vinegar and dampen a bunch of sawdust with it, then you dip your metal in salt water, and bury it in the damp sawdust. It only takes about a day or so. I think it works with copper or brass. If you hover the metal on a screen over ammonia, it turns blue. I haven't tried that one though. Try it, it's fun!

Thank you for the information! I'd really like to try that.
I once dipped metal cake tins in ferro chloride, that I used in etching... but the result wasn't very good, not the kind of patina I was looking for:)
